Personally, I just love making my own stockings for the kids. It is a really great things to do with your students as a craft or project too. Get the 50 cents stockings that you can find at the dollar shops in your area and then decorate them yourselves. Sure they will not look as spectacular maybe as the ones that you buy premade in the stores but in the long run and years to come they will just have so much more sentimental value. And you just can not put a price on that!
