Now there are plenty of things to do in Orlando but when you are a kid there is only one thing you want to do and one place you want to go and that is not to try to change your vacation plans and location to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Yeah…my mother had the brilliant idea of instead of going to Disney to go to an educational destination…it wasn’t a museum of art but more of a colonial village in Pennsylvania where we would learn how people lived 100 years ago. At 12 years old … do you think that I care how they lived. I wanted to live in the present and go to Disney!! My dad did however talk her into ditching this last minute idea and to go with the first idea - our first Florida vacation. Did she really think I cared how people lived 100 years ago - I am not for an educational vacation…who is!!! That is just not my idea of fun and I can not see it ever being my idea for fun that is for sure!
