New Years Plans
Posted on 12.30.08 by holiday @

You know that you are getting up there in years when you remember the 80′s like it was yesterday. I can not believe that the year is coming to a close and we will be in 2009. That is just crazy to me. I don’t do anything on new years eve or on New years day fro that matter. It is kind of nice actually. It is just so crazy on New Years Eve….staying home and just watching a movie is a great way to end that year and enter the new one for me!

Tick Tock Day
Posted on 12.30.08 by holiday @

Today is Tick Tock Day…. I guess this is for clock lovers out there. Or maybe a better way to interpret what this day means is that the year is coming to a close so tick-tock you had better hurry up and get all that you have to get done done before the end of the year is officially over. I still just can not believe that this year is over. And I know many people say that all the time but the year just seems to go by so quickly and I think moreso when you are older and are not in school The second half of the year definately goes by quicker than the first part of the year though that is for sure!

Falling Pine Needle Day
Posted on 12.30.08 by holiday @

Today is falling pine needles day…many people that have those real trees are probably seeing many of the needles falling off of the trees right about now. i have the artificial tree so I notice it the most when I atually take it out of the box an dput it back in the box which is actually what I just did the other day. I have the tree up for a good 1 1/2 months but it usually comes down the day after Christmas. My mother in law has a real tree and she can not stand it when the needles start to fall off the tree and the tree starts to really dry up. Some people can have their real tree up there for weeks and it looks great but if you do not put it in water then you will find that the tree will not last all that long for obvious reasons of course. So if your tree is loosing it’s needles it may be time to just take it down and put the decorations away for next year now!
