Can you believe that it is almost August already…even in the stores they are getting ready for fall and school. Halloween is right around the corner…so what are you going to be and what Halloween Costumes Costume Cauldron has a lot of great costumes to get your kids and yourself this year. Have a little fun and get dressed up too. I did last year and my kids loved it! They have great sexy Halloween costumes I was actually reading up on Halloween costume history and it was so interesting. Who would have thought that Halloween and especially Halloween costumes would have such a history. I haven’t decide what I would like to be this year. I was thinking of something funny and unique. I just love to wear those costumes that make people think…what a great costume idea! I don’t like the gross looking ones and the usually and typical ones. My all time favorite Halloween costume was when I dressed up as snow white when I was in high school. The costume was just simply the nicest costume I had ever gotten. I was actually chaperoning a younger kid party and it was great fun. All the little kids thought that I was snow white. I also had my good friend be the wicked witch. He looked great - the costume he had was amazing and he had a basket of apples and the kids were warning me all night about not eating the apple. It was a fun night that I will always fondly remember and I really looked nice too. I was Raggedy Ann the next year and it was just ok - I was cute but nothing like snow white. Even my hair looked like snow white as well. I wish I still had that costume. I have no idea where it is..I think it could still be at my parents place in the attic somewhere. I should go and find it actually for this year. I have not dressed up for Halloween in years and it is really fun to do actually. Halloween costumes are just so fun to get and to wear and there are many times throughout the year that you may need that costume not only just on Halloween. There was a prom around here actually that instead of wearing the gowns they had a masquerade ball…kinda new and different. |

Well, it is Halloween so the kids are either at a fun party or they are all dressed up out trick or treating!! It is always nice going to those houses I remembered that would have really great candy. And you just could not have asked for better weather over hear! It is not to cool and it is a clear night with not signs of rain so that is good. Halloween is here once again and so are those horror flicks and Red Scream Films LLC. And so many people just love to go to these types of films year round but especially this time of year. That is when a lot of great movies actually come out! The art of indie filmmaking is a growing one actually and sometimes these movies will really make for a smash hit of the season or possibly even year! They usually are that low budget film produced by a very small movie studio you may not have even heard about…but that is how the big studios and directors got started…we all have to start somewhere! These films are also less commercially driven. The indie filmmaking business has gained exposure in the last years though through things like the Sundance Film Festival. So, I was very disappointed that I had missed Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin Patch last year. Sure, I have seen it like million times it seems but there is something about those holiday cartoons that are just so much fun to watch. And this is a great classic of a cartoon that is still rather funny if you ask me. So be on the look out for this holiday cartoon classic - it probably will be on next week sometime I am thinking. Ok - this may not have anything to do with the holidays or such but it is a yearly event. The McDonalds Monopoly game. Many people have their game pieces and collect them reguarly and have all but one of the matches so they can never win that prize. Or you get the crap prizes like $1 off Toy’s R Us products..no thanks. The food prizes are not that bad but I don’t think many people win the big prizes at all. Now is the time to plan what you are going to be wearing for that fun Halloween party. You want to make sure that you get hte costume that you really want. And it has to be different from last year. Here is the thing…sell last years costume to help cover the cost of the new one..or trade with a friend that has one that you really like. There are so many great costumes out there these day. I remember when the best costumes were those stupid plastic things. They were just so cheesy but we all loved them and wore them. The costumes today are more expensive than that but at least they make it through the day, night or the party. There is so much Halloween candy out already. And I mean really…who in the world is going to get their Halloween candy 2 months in advance. I mean decorations fine but candy…no. That is just a way to get more money out of people because you just can not resist picking up a bag. And this year why not try for something a little different…a little more risque perhaps..a sexy adult costume!
