Well it is just no surprise that this month is Halloween Safety. Be sure to talk to your children of all ages about the safety of trick or treating and parties. Do not let your child go out alone if they are young and I can not stress enough that you should know where your child is at all times! All it takes it one stupid move or accident on a teenagers part- Talk to your children about the importance of being safe on this holiday! Filed under: Halloween andOctober Comments: None |

So … did you know that the month of October is Squirrel Awareness month. That makes sense actually because many squirrels are just going crazy this time of year trying to store up all the nuts for the winter. So that means that they are darting across the streets. This way if you are aware that this is their month…you may be better on the look out when they are running around the yards and cross the streets. So, today is mule day. I really don’t know how one would celebrate something like this but it is mule day. Mules can be quite cute. And there was a time when they were very useful and helpful with carrying things for long distances. But now a days when you are talking about a mule or referring to someone as a mule…well….that just is not nice! Filed under: October andWeird Holidays and Observances Comments: None |

Today is make a difference day. It is a great way to see if you can make a difference in not only your life but also the life of others. It is always nice to make a difference … a positive difference I should say, in someone elses day. And it could be something as simple as calling or visiting someone to make a difference and just make them feel really good!
