Today is Festivus…a holiday that was invented because of the fabulous show Seinfeld. When that show first came out..oh my goodness..it was just so hysterical. This month is national handwashing awareness month. It is always a great idea to teach young children to wash their hands after and before eating and going to the restroom. And it is so much better than using that purell – simply washing your hands with soap and water will get rid of the germs that cause illnesses! November is National Peanut Butter Month…the one things that I had every single day for around 6 years – all through my elementary years. But I did not like it with jelly or jam… I just liked the plain old peanut butter. I think that every kid goes through that ppj phase in their life and then they really do not want to have anything to do with it anymore! This is spinach and squash month…I love spinach and squash but not together. Actually I just love the summer squash…the winter squash is not one of my favorites. But this is the time of year that people are thinking about the side dishes for the holidays and Thanksgiving holiday is almost here…just a few days!
