Mother in Law

I love my mother-in-law. I truly do. I know that is a little difficult for some people to understand based on their tumultuous relationships with theirs, but she is wonderful. She is so kind and thoughtful, and is always sending me little notes or small gifts in the mail she thinks I will like. I love to return the favor, but it gets difficult at times because of my two small children. Getting them all ready to run out to the post office, which is thirty minutes away, to mail a small care package is a lot of work. Fortunately, I’ve discovered the ease of electronic greeting cards! A lot of sites will allow you to customize a card, pay a little bit of money for the stamp, and send out a paper card to the recipient! We can send off a card and often times pick out a small treasure to accompany it. Sometimes it’s a box of chocolates, sometimes it’s some tulips, but it’s always something I know she will love. It makes me so happy to think of her opening her mailbox to find these little gifts! There are so many things you can get someone for a gift but how about this Valentine’s day you get something that they use all the time but something that is very special. I just got my husband a wooden pen. It is hand crafted and I bought it off of ebay – a great place to buy those hand crafted items that people can readily sell online!

Spine Institute

When I hear the word invasive and am not thinking good thoughts but at least with the word minimally in front of it…it makes me feel a little better. And if I need work done on my spine…a very important set of bones in my body…I want to be sure that I am at a place that specializes in it with doctors that really know what they are doing like the Minimally Invasive Spine Institute. I am a fan of the specialist because the general internal medicine doctor I just don’t trust. I could be that doctor because there really is nothing to it. I would much prefer to go to a specialist that knows everything about one thing rather than someone that know the minimum of so called everything.

I am going to learn how to sew. This economy is going now where and prices just keep on going up and I personally can not afford it any more. I am going to learn how to sew and go out and get kaufmann fabrics and buttons and zippers and all that stuff to make nice clothing. I am tired of paying for crappy clothes that fall apart and look horrible pretty much from the time that you bring them home. And personally, I think that I can come up with a lot better styles that are out there that will look like I spent a fortune on them but I would have made them for pennies. I just want to look good and be able to afford it…sewing is a great thing to know how to do.

I am a frugal shopper and I am always one that is looking for those coupons out there. So, when I find them I like to write about them and RedEnvelope coupon codes are out there and ready to be used. Valentines day is right around the corner now so you want to get something nice for your significant other. But why spend more when you can get the same thing you were thinking of getting for less because of a coupon code. The coupons are out there and finally more and more people are realizing that you do not have to pay full price most of the time when you are shopping online. There always seems to be a code out there that will lower the price for you.

Decorations Down

So, this past weekend was the weekend that people really took down all of their decorations…it is time. It is actually kind of sad to see all the lights go and the trees are on the sides of the street. There is something about November and December even thought the days are getting longer and it is getting darker and colder and there is nothing to look forward to other than the winter messes…what was I getting at?

Renting

So, my mom was telling me of a place where they are renting their apartment for way more than it is worth. But I told her that people will still rent it even though they could literally get a mortgage for their own home for less. But many people are not getting approved so they are being forced to pay more to rent and get less. You just have to know where to look to rent I guess like Rent Edmonton.

Always be sure to go online and read and compare the many places that are being offered in your area these days. You want to get the best deal out there at a price that you can afford but you also want to be in a place that you are going to enjoy living in as well. My sister rents and she loves her place…doesn’t have to worry about shoveling snow or even getting oil for her oil tank! It is all in what you want!

Holiday Candy

There are many people that still have not finished their halloween candy let alone starting their holiday stocking candy….you may want to throw away that halloween candy though…it is getting old. Personally, candy is nice but it is really too much to have. I usually just get one candy bar because it is so unhealthy and really .. such a waste of money if you really think about it.

I have known for years what amazing things you can create in this magic pot, but I have a newfound respect for the crock pot. I was watching food network on Direct.TV and I saw a recipe for chocolate cake you make in this miracle appliance! I always knew you could make amazing soups and stews but I never in a million years thought about desserts! Turns out, there are dozens of desserts you can make. My curiosity had the best of me and I just had to try one out. I researched a few recipes and decided Apple Betty was the recipe for us. I followed the recipe to a T and walked away hesitantly. Even if the recipe was a flop, the smell in my house was worth the try. Fortunately, it was anything but a flop. It was perfect! My entire family gobbled it up and all I could think about was how easy it all was! This miracle appliance is my go-to item to buy as a gift for my family and friends. Everyone should own one!

Trains

Something as simple as getting trains for a little boy can potentially give your child hours and hours of fun and if you get the wooden ones they are not full of toxic plastic and paint. And the brio fit with the Thomas the Trains too. In my opinion they are use as good and they are so much less expensive too!

For Rent

So, it is the new year and it may just be the time to get out of your parents place and start fresh. Time to get that first new place for yourself and the Airdrie apartments for rent are not only nice but affordable. And when you are looking for that first place and you are just out of college pretty much then you want to be sure that you are getting something that you can afford.

And there are a lot of really nice apartments out there that are affordable but are also quite nice and something that you can show off to your friends. And of course you must now learn how to maintain it…time to learn how to clean things yourself, do your own laundry…all that stuff that you will not have to do yourself!

A great time of year to start getting healthy. A blood pressure machine is a great investment to make because people do not realize sometimes how important it is to monitor and to know what you blood pressure is. And you should take it the same time every day. And the arm ones seem to claim to be the most accurate. I wish that I just knew how to do it the old fashion way because that is the most accurate in my opinion.

Cocktail Server Jobs

There are jobs out there but you have to really look for them and sometimes they are not always something that you would have envisioned yourself doing but this time of year there are many Cocktail Server Jobs that is for sure. And personally it is not that bad of a job this time of year because you can get really great tips. I had a friend that was a cocktail waitress during college and I could not believe how much money she would get around this time of year – enough to pay for college for the semester that is for sure.

Happy holidays to all…what ever you may be celebrating. I was just reading how so many people ordered things online this year from best buy and walmart and stores like that that did not get their packages…oh well…you will get to have second christmas…something to look forward to afterwards. I am just glad that they are giving out a gift certificate – didn’t order anything from either of them…my lose I guess.

Pool Supply

Yes – it is winter and the summer activities are far over like swimming but there are so many things that you need to do to close up that seasonal pool. And not to mention getting the many supplies that you need in order to close up that pool. You can get that pool supply that you are looking for right online too. My parents always had a pool and as a kid we all loved to swim in it but we never realized how much went into maintaining a pool. And now that I am an adult my kids want to get a pool but I really don’t know if I could take care of it properly – let alone afford one. But they do have rather cheap pools at walmart these days.
